Operation Double Eagle
Improving Warrior Quality of Life through workforce development and employment
Overview
Veteran Workforce Development
Operation Double Eagle is a 9-week skills development program in Augusta, GA that connects veterans and transitioning active-duty service members to a network of employers seeking “job-ready” veterans for nationwide career opportunities.
Recruit

We actively recruit veterans with barriers to employment through our network of partners, transitioning active-duty military, and government agencies.

We are partnering with Augusta Technical College for veterans to earn credit hours using certified instructors via classroom and lab application education

Made possible by a grant from The Bob Woodruff Foundation, the Double Eagle Performance Center is a dynamic worksite for veterans to gain valuable skills through a hands-on learning program.

The renovation of the August Municipal Golf Course (The Patch) will be used as an apprenticeship opportunity and deliver a signature, ADA compliant golf course.

". . . as [service members] return home and transition back into civilian communities . . . we ought to make it a priority to help them channel their experience, ethos, and desire for personal challenge into continuing to make a difference. Their strengths are our strengths, the steel of America’s national character.”
